The bike is all clean and polished and all the fluid levels have been checked and the bags have been packed
New tyres have been fitted all ready for the journey this time I put on Michelin Road Pilot 4 tyres which replaced my PR3s I was very impressed with the PR3s and the PR4s are supposed to be even better only time will tell
Normally I stay with OEM tyres as I believe that the bike is designed around them but the standard OEM Metzeler tyres are absolute rubbish the tread suddenly disappears and leaves the cord of the tyre exposed as happended to me on a short journey
I have since found out via K1600 Forums that the Metzeler tyres disintegrating is a common problem
