Day 4 Triberg to Oberwald Switzerland

So we got off to a earlish start today on the road by 1000 because we had a cross country run to do with very little motorway

It was only 120 miles but eta was 3.5 hrs when in fact took nearly 5

The first part was ok through southern Germany nice roads but the scenery was just normal

We then had a short Motorway stretch around Zurich which was awful due to a broken down vehicle, a little bit of lane filtering was in order

The advantage of being on a bike

After we left Zurich area the  scenery improved we had some great views of Lake Lucerne as we traveled along side it, the colour of the water is so white!!!

Eventually as we got closer to our destination we started to climb the Alps and today we managed to ride over the Furka Pass and Grimselle Pass to a height over 7300ft above sea level, we actually stopped by a Glacier

We arrived at the hotel which is not that good but its clean and tidy, I suppose during the
Winter its very busy with skiers and such

Total mileage so far is 800 miles

Time for bed now as it St Moritz tomorrow
