Day 12 Innsbruck to Stuttgart Germany

Nothing special today just a 220 mile slog of getting from A to B

Our route took us over the Ferne Pass Austria which was only a gentle ride but enjoyable scenery and plenty of sunshine

The pass is a very popular place and traffic was very heavy, cars and carvans, motorhomes push bike riders all holding up the free flow of the motorcyclist, it had been a bank holiday weekend in Austria so I guess the roads were busier than normal

We entered Germany and went straight onto the Autobahn so I was hoping to make a bit of progress which we did for a while before hitting standing traffic and road  works (yes youve guessed it no work being done thought I was back Iin the UK)

We stopped for a coffee just off the autobahn and decided that the tyres needed to be checked for air, the air line at the garage let my tyre DOWN not up so I had to resort to asking a car driver for the use of his accessory socket and got out my trusty mini compressor

The last time I saw an airline  like the one at the garage was when I first started to drive in 1974

Got to Stuttgart late afternoon and so far not impressed, I know its Sunday but it is dead - not like UK cities that are bustling with life 7 days a week, we will see what tomorrow brings before we make a final judgement
