After bidding farewell to Moena we travelled over the San de Pellegrino pass.
This pass turned out to be our favourite so far, it was beautiful, great road surfaces, lovely bends and amazing scenery.
As we travelled on we found yet another pass, the Giau pass which, at the top, is nearly 7000 feet above sea level and consequently this became our favourite.
When we reached the top we got off the bike just to take in the amazing views of the Dolomites, the journey down was just as photogenic, full of little waterfalls and lush green foliage. We then took a leisurely ride until we spotted a McDonald's where we pulled up next to another English (only one of two that we have seen so far) bike that turned out to be from the same BMW dealership that ours was from and a father and son who only lived a few miles or so from us.
It was nice to hear an English voice again. After our coffee we were on the road again and soon arrived at our stop for the night, this time we have an apartment. We need a good rest tonight because tomorrow is the daddy of all passes, the Grossglockner pass.
